SOUNDING THE CLARION CALL
or SETTIING THE RECORD STRAIGHT!
[Examination of an excerpt from Dr. David Lewis’s book, “UFO: END-TIME DELUSION.” This book was co-authored by Robert Shreckhise under NEW LEAF PRESS, 1991.]
This is a very interesting & important book that sometime, in the near future, I will be doing a more complete review on; however, at the present time, I wish to draw the reader’s attention to a very specific problem which Dr. Lewis had pointed out in his book…but first a quote from the Book of Joel, (who also will be prominently featured in the second wave of “THE BITE OF THE SERPENT” series, which itself will be presented in the not-too-distant future, since I feel very strongly that “THE END-TIME DELUSION” is already upon us, and therefore, the TRIBULATION period as revealed in The Bible, is not far behind it, so these web pages take on an added sense of urgency.
Dr. Lewis says that we are watchmen on the walls of the Church who blow the trumpet of the Lord (Yahushua, called Jesus today) and sound the alarm in his holy mountain. (Joel 2:1) Following that he quotes from Chronicles: “The day of the Lord is coming! Get ready! Prepare for battle, for the end is drawing near!” (I Chron. 12:32) [This is cited from page 239 of the 1997 printing of this book.]
THE EXCERPT comes, starting on page 52 of the same printing, and I quote below, and will comment on this aspect of the deception in Ufology, and just how insidious it is, after the final comments given on page 54!
The author (shortened to ‘D.L.’ is discussing a possible demonic probing upon a Christian lady, Joanne, (‘J.W.’) about something she saw, which she took for a UFO.
D.L. Joanne, what I feel is happening is this: I believe that you were subjected to a demonic apparition, or you saw—not subjected to, but you saw a demonic apparition. I believe that the dreams were projected into your mind to create a scenario that would make an acceptance of alien beings palatable or thinkable in your mind. If you go into hypnotic regression now, you will not experience actual memories. It will be an implantation of false memories.
J.W. I had thought about that.
D.L. Under hypnosis you will seem to remember things that never really happened. You could remember being physically examined. You mentioned having a flushed feeling. Was there any change in the color of your skin?
{{Dr. Lewis is referring to the experience Joanne had, as he relates it starting at the beginning of chapter four: THE AFTERMATH. Simply put, Joanne’s experience involved seeing beings, which she said could be “beings” or could be “demonic,” but she was not sure which. She had a distinct impression that the UFO she saw had an intelligence behind it since when she wanted to take a picture of it, it started to fade out, as well as paced her car.
Lewis digresses slightly to reflect on his ideas about the occupants of UFOs being demonic (even from 1952) while he cites Dr. Allen Hynek’s (non-religious) idea that they may represent a “psychic” phenomenon – but at any rate, not plain-old nuts & bolts craft from another planet, which Hynek had observed was a simple yet “naïve” hypothesis, based on his own experience. (Joanne feels – as a Christian – that they are demonic.)
Dr. Lewis then explains the “New Age” understandings of people like Brad Steiger & Ruth Montgomery, where finding ‘god’ was more of an inward metaphysical journey, but all including occultic techniques for ‘enlightenment.’ (In the course of the conversation, Joanne was aware of – but not impressed – with the “way-out” teachings of Ruth Montgomery. (p.45)
The author also cites some references from The Book of Revelation (chapters nine & sixteen) that talk about some very weird beings that will be released during the time of the tribulation period, including amphibian & reptilian types, so if these beings in the UFOs turn out to be part of the “fallen angels,” Dr. Lewis would not be surprised. {{Of course, in our own “THE BITE OF THE SERPENT” series,{{now as a published book called, THE CURS-ED NET, using The Book of Enoch, a book that is nowhere quoted from by Lewis, this would be explained in chapter & verse as definitely being fallen angels and their physical progeny – after cohabitating with the daughters of men.}}
Although Joanne never encountered any beings in “real time,” she did remember having dreams about a strange place where a very old man dressed in trousers and a shirt, having very large eyes (like the people in India,) and was lying in what looked like a coffin. (49) Alas, the eyes were too big for his face! He also had long fingers, and was not lying in the “casket” like what you would expect at a funeral. She also reported that in her dream she noticed that this “man’s” eyes seemed to follow her, and she could tell he liked her, but she did not like him; the head was the only thing that moved on him – and the rest of his body looked like it was dead. (50)
Joanne also admitted that she got a confirmation of her sighting, since a man saw the same type of light she did while he was out hunting at 4:50 A.M. that same morning, and in the same area Joanne was in when she saw the amber-like UFO. (51)
Dr. Lewis then goes into a discussion about “demonic hypnosis” so even if you were to go into a hypnosis session, what would come forth would be an “implanted memory” from the abductors (which the author strongly feels would be from the dark forces. {{In my own research, I found that Karla Turner, working with Barbara Bartholic, had come to the same conclusion, so that it would take the uncovering of at least two – and possibly three “layers” of memory, to get to the bottom of what was possibly really happening, which, according to Karla, involved Reptilian-type beings; cf. “ABDUCTIONS IN A GINGER BREAD HOUSE” for more details on this fascinating yet complicated part of the UFO alien abduction phenomenon. Her book, “MASQUERADE OF ANGELS” is also a must read for anyone who wants to plum the depths of the murky demonic abduction phenomenon.}}
Dr. Lewis was adamant about never allowing himself to be hypnotized since it could possibly open one up to being demonically influenced. (52) You also have to trust the person who is hypnotizing you, for if that person has an agenda, you are also at risk! Joanne finally decided against hypnotism.
{{Yet is was the concern of Joanne and Dr. Lewis’s comments – starting on page 54, that really attracted my attention, and the reason I am posting this excerpt on my website, so below is the transcript from page 54, starting with Joanne’s concern:}}
J.W. “Why would this happen to me? If it’s of the devil, am I that evil and I don’t know it that I attract him?”
D.W. Probably the opposite is true. I think it’s because you’re a fine, stable Christian who is a respected church member. Not fanatical. So, in other words, you’re a good middle of the roader. I talked to your pastor. This is the impression he gave me of you.
You’re a businessperson, you’ve got an image of reliability. You’re the most likely type of person for this kind of thing. You’re the perfect model, in other words; you are desired because you would project credibility. If Satan could manipulate you now and use you for his purposes, he would advance his progress greatly. Now, if Satan’s purposes can be foiled in your life, then we have dealt a major blow to the kingdom of darkness, and he’s going to have to find another candidate. Probably we can use your experience and example as a warning to others. It can be a warning to other Christains to be on the lookout.
{{This ends the short excerpt, but I would like to make an observation, if I could. I take the above citation personally, since I feel that I was vulnerable in 1993, and I do not think it was coincidence (upon reflection) that I started to have a myriad of paranormal experiences, that seemed so subtlely “cute” that I felt seduced into accepting it as part of my reality; if you now read my web page called “RELIANCE,” I now have a complete opposite opinion of these things, and hence, why I called this web page SOUNDING THE CLARION CALL.
You see, I feel like I was being tempted to bring others to an understanding that may not have been ON THE MARK!!! Since I have been a writer and lecturer since around 1993, it may have made sense for Satan to try to use me, since (after all,) I was an earnest Ufologist and all I really wanted to do was to understand the root of the truth of things. Now, like Joanne, I feel it is important to set the record straight, and expose the paranormal for what it really is: SUBTLE DEMONIC ACTIVITY - which, if you are not careful, could very easily develop into demonic influence or full-blown demonic possession! Satan’s use of curious but honest people seems a particular insidious ploy so as to get other unsuspecting people into his web of intrigue and deceit, with the ultimate goal of destroying their collective souls. THIS IS ONE BAD DUDE, methinks!
I was warned (I believe by my guardian angel) about “LOOKING INTO STRANGE MIRRORS” back in 1995; although seemingly bizarre, it not-so-strangely made the point with me to be on my guard about occult things. Now I feel I have turned the page, seeing this paranormal phenomenon (including UFOs) for what it really represents, and I am dedicating this website to uncovering the wiles of Satan, in all of his manifestations – a la “THE BITE OF THE SERPENT,” et al!
That’s my story! Read Dr. Lewis’s book for even more insight, as well as my web pages on THE BITE OF THE SERPENT, and hopefully, between the two of them, you may uncover the insidious modus operandi of Luciferian forces at work on the planet Earth.
